§ 32.1-4 Sovereign immunity

Nothing contained in this title shall be construed to be a waiver of the defense of sovereign immunity except where expressly provided by the laws of this Commonwealth.

History

This law was first created in 1979. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 711 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1979 “Acts” aren’t available online.

1979, c. 711.
