§ 12.1-2 State Corporation Commission
There shall be a permanent commission known as the State Corporation Commission which shall have the powers and duties prescribed by law and by Article IX of the Constitution of Virginia.

This law was first created in 1971. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 157 of the Extra Session of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year.
