						<section><p>Whenever this title provides for the appointment of a <span class="dictionary">fiduciary</span> by a <span class="dictionary">circuit</span> <span class="dictionary">court</span>, the clerk of the <span class="dictionary">court</span> also shall have the authority to take the required <span class="dictionary">bond</span>, set the <span class="dictionary">penalty</span> thereof, and pass upon the sufficiency of the <span class="dictionary">surety</span> thereon.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 37-144.1; 1958, c. 277; 1968, cc. 383, 477, &#xA7; 37.1-136; 1976, c. 671; 2005, c. 716, &#xA7; 37.2-1019; 2012, c. 614.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
