						<section><p>As against any person claiming under the deed or other writing that has not been recorded before payment by a subsequent purchaser for valuable consideration of the whole or a part of his purchase money, such subsequent purchaser, notwithstanding such deed or other writing recorded before he becomes a complete purchaser, shall have a <span class="dictionary">lien</span> on the property purchased by him for so much of his purchase money as he may have paid before notice of such <span class="dictionary">lien</span>.</p></section></text><history>Code 1919, &#xA7; 5200; Code 1950, &#xA7; 55-104; 2019, c. 712.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
