						<section><p>This chapter shall not:</p></section>
						<section id="1"><p><span class="prefix-number">1.</span> Preempt the authority or relieve the duty of any <span class="dictionary">law</span>-enforcement agencies to investigate, examine, and <span class="dictionary">prosecute</span> suspected violations of <span class="dictionary">law</span>. <a id="paragraph-1367977" class="section-permalink" href="https://vacode.org/52-44/#1"><i class="fa fa-link"/></a></p></section>
