						<section><p>Whenever the director of any <span class="dictionary">facility</span> reasonably believes that treatment is necessary to protect the life, health, or safety of a person, treatment may be given during the period allowed for any <span class="dictionary">appeal</span> unless prohibited by <span class="dictionary">order</span> of a <span class="dictionary">circuit</span> <span class="dictionary">court</span> in the county or city wherein the <span class="dictionary">appeal</span> is pending.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7;&#xA7; 37-71.2, 37-204.1; 1964, c. 322; 1968, c. 477, &#xA7; 37.1-85; 1972, c. 639; 2005, c. 716.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
