						<section><p>The Commission may appoint, employ, and remove an executive director and such other persons as it deems necessary, subject to funding in the appropriation act, and shall determine the duties and fix the salaries or compensation of such executive director and other persons, within the amounts appropriated for such purpose. The Commission may also employ experts who have knowledge of the <span class="dictionary">issues</span> before it. All agencies of the Commonwealth shall provide assistance to the Commission, upon request, subject to funding in the appropriation act.</p></section></text><history>2003, c. 885; 2023, cc. 753, 793.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
