						<section><p>Whenever any product subject to this article is found by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> upon any premises where it is held and there is reason to believe that the product is adulterated or misbranded in violation of the regulations adopted by the <span class="dictionary">Board</span> pursuant to this article, or that such product has been or is intended to be distributed in violation of regulations, the product may be detained for a period not to exceed 20 days, pending action under &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Condemnation of adulterated, misbranded products" href="/3.2-5216/">3.2-5216</a> of this article, and shall not be moved by any person from the place at which it is located when detained, until released by the <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span>.</p></section></text><history>1970, c. 48, &#xA7; 3.1-562.8; 2008, c. 860.</history><metadata><court_decisions></court_decisions></metadata></law>
