						<section><p>The <span class="dictionary">Commissioner</span> may <span class="dictionary">issue</span> a <span class="dictionary">certificate</span> on a reciprocal basis to a nonresident who is <span class="dictionary">licensed</span> or <span class="dictionary">certified</span> in another state or by a federal agency substantially in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. Such a <span class="dictionary">certificate</span> may be suspended or revoked as other <span class="dictionary">certifications</span> issued hereunder, and may be suspended or revoked if the nonresident&#x2019;s base state or federal <span class="dictionary">certification</span> is suspended or revoked.</p></section></text><history>1975, c. 377, &#xA7; 3.1-249.12; 1976, c. 236; 1989, c. 575, &#xA7; 3.1-249.57; 2008, c. 860.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
