						<section><p>With the approval of the <span class="dictionary">State Board</span>, the governing body of any county, city, or town may provide for the experimental use at an election in one or more <span class="dictionary">election districts</span> or <span class="dictionary">precincts</span> of a voting or counting system which it might legally adopt without a formal adoption thereof, and its use at such election shall be valid for all purposes.</p></section></text><history>Code 1950, &#xA7; 24-295; 1970, c. 462, &#xA7; 24.1-206; 1985, c. 458; 1993, c. 641.</history><metadata><court_decisions></court_decisions></metadata></law>
