						<section><p>Every commission is authorized and directed to acquire, in the name of the commission but for the cities, counties and <span class="dictionary">towns</span> in whole or in part embraced within the <span class="dictionary">district</span>, by purchase, gift, condemnation or otherwise, and, notwithstanding the provisions of any charter, or <span class="dictionary">ordinance</span> or resolution of any <span class="dictionary">county</span>, city or <span class="dictionary">town</span> to the contrary, to <span class="dictionary">construct</span>, maintain, operate and use such trunk, intercepting and outlet sewers, conduits, pipelines, pumping and ventilating stations, treatment plants or works at such places, and such other plants, structures, boats and conveyances, as in the <span class="dictionary">judgment</span> of the commission will provide an effective and satisfactory method for promoting the purposes of the commission.</p></section></text><history>1938, p. 516; Michie Code 1942, &#xA7; 1560mm.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
