						<section><p>If any minister authorized to celebrate rites of marriage under &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Order authorizing ministers to perform ceremony" href="/20-23/">20-23</a>, or any other person so authorized under &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Persons other than ministers who may perform rites" href="/20-25/">20-25</a>, shall fail to comply with &#xA7;&#xA0;<a class="law" title="Records of marriages; duties of officer issuing marriage license and person officiating at ceremony; blocking of social security number" href="/32.1-267/">32.1-267</a>, the <span class="dictionary">penalty</span> shall be $25.</p></section></text><history>Code 1919, &#xA7; 5093; 1979, c. 502; 1981, c. 298; 2025, c. 104.</history><metadata><court_decisions><item key="0"><name>United States v.
