						<section><p>When a <span class="dictionary">city</span> becomes a <span class="dictionary">town</span> under the provisions of this chapter and the police department or sheriff&#x2019;s department of the former <span class="dictionary">city</span> ceases to exist, officers of the former <span class="dictionary">city</span> police department or sheriff&#x2019;s department shall be entitled to purchase motorcycles that previously belonged to the police department or sheriff&#x2019;s department at the same cost as the <span class="dictionary">city</span>&#x2019;s original purchase price. The newly created <span class="dictionary">town</span> or <span class="dictionary">county</span> shall establish the process by which such transfer shall occur.</p></section></text><history>2022, c. 385.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
