						<section><p>Notwithstanding any contrary provision of <span class="dictionary">law</span>, general or special, when a <span class="dictionary">locality</span> builds facilities for its own use on real property owned by it but located in another <span class="dictionary">locality</span>&#x2019;s <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span>, all building inspections required by <span class="dictionary">law</span> shall be conducted without payment of any fees or costs to the <span class="dictionary">locality</span> within whose boundaries the building occurs; however, the <span class="dictionary">locality</span> within whose boundaries the building occurs may require that such inspections be carried out by the agents of the <span class="dictionary">locality</span> building the facility.</p></section></text><history>1981, c. 256, &#xA7; 15.1-33.3; 1997, c. 587.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
