						<section><p>Any <span class="dictionary">person</span> responsible for the release of a <span class="dictionary">hazardous substance</span> from a fixed facility which poses an immediate or imminent threat to public health and who is required by <span class="dictionary">law</span> to notify the National Response Center shall notify the chief administrative officer or his designee of the local government of the <span class="dictionary">jurisdiction</span> in which the release occurs and shall also notify the <span class="dictionary">Department</span>.</p></section></text><history>1986, c. 492, &#xA7; 10-282; 1988, c. 891.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
